I was born by the river in a little tent…ok, so maybe not a tent…but there was definitely a river involved 8-) As a young Ethiopian girl, I used to dream about all of the things I wanted to do with mi vida. At one point, I vowed to be just like Mother Theresa…until I figured out exactly what that meant (smile). I also wanted to be a writer, an activist, an educator, a lawyer, an engineer, an acupuncturist, and most of all a happy & healthy human being.
I’ve lived a couple of these dreams already, and am now moving towards my goal of embodying the mantra “healer, heal thyself”. This blog is an attempt to document my journey towards wellness, in all of its manifestations, and share what I find with my folks. This blog will also be a collective space…so please send me recipes, restaurant reviews, and funny stories to post. Let’s heal and be happy…
